- Source: the CasaRadar listings database, which collects rental listings from listing websites and housing communities in Barcelona. Cross-platform duplicates are merged. No individual listings are published here, only aggregated figures.
- Sample: listings in the city of Barcelona first seen between 3 August 2026 and 1 November 2026, with a known barrio and a monthly price between €150 and €15,000. Short-term (holiday) rentals are excluded.
- Segments: rooms in shared flats; studios and 1-bedroom apartments; 2-bedroom apartments; apartments and houses with 3 or more bedrooms.
- Statistics: the median (half of the listings ask less, half ask more) and the 25th–75th percentile range, rounded to the nearest €25. A barrio or segment with fewer than 10 listings is not shown.
- Asking prices are what landlords advertise; the final rent can differ. Bills are usually not included.
- These figures are indicative and for information only. They are not the official rent reference index (índice de referencia de precios de alquiler) and should not be used as legal, financial or contractual advice.

Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.
Based on listings published between 3 August 2026 and 1 November 2026, the median asking rent is €1,250 per month for a studio or 1-bedroom apartment, €1,525 for 2 bedrooms and €600 for a room in a shared flat. We use the median rather than the average because a few luxury listings would otherwise pull the figure up.
Portal statistics are usually averages per square metre across all their own listings. Our figures are medians of monthly asking prices across several sources, grouped by the 73 official barrios, and exclude short-term rentals, so they describe what a tenant actually sees when searching.
